OBB - the Oberbadische Bettfedernfabrik is dedicated to your sleeping comfort. Founded in 1900, the company is now one of the last fully integrated bed spring factories in Germany. OBB stands for quality from the Black Forest and feels deeply connected to its homeland.
Originally a specialist in down and feather-filled bedding, OBB expanded its range to include natural hair and fiber products back in 2012, thus becoming a full-range supplier. Because the needs and demands for perfect sleeping comfort have changed. Veganism on the one hand, but also growing hygiene awareness on the other, have boosted product developments. People have not always found their individually-optimal bedding, because skin irritations or a lack of moisture management lead to poorer sleep quality.
With SMARTFIBER, OBB took up the challenge of developing a down-proof fabric with an effective SMARTCEL content, thus meeting the demand for individual sleeping comfort. Now Schwarzwald sensitiv was launched, consisting of 20% SMARTCEL / 80% PES (fiber variant / in combination with Advansa Cocoon or 20% SMARTCEL / 30% Modal / 50% PES (down variant / in combination with Greenfirst finished down).
Both of these fillings perfectly complement the exclusive fabric with further special finishes and offer the highest possible benefit for the sleeper.
The down/feathers for the Schwarzwald Sensitiv comforters and pillows have a special finish, Greenfirst®. Greenfirst® is a traceable, hypoallergenic and vegetable treatment. It is biodegradable, environmentally friendly and effective against dust mites, mosquitoes and moths. It contains extracts of essential plant oils of lemon, lavender and eucalyptus. The treatment does not contain chemical microcapsules, traditional pesticides or chemical solvents. The finish meets OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, making it suitable for infants.
